Increase Thy Ability to Earn – The 7th and last remedy for a Lean Purse
Increase Your Ability To Earn
“ Cultivate thy own powers, to study and become wiser, to become more skillful, to act as to respect thyself. The more of wisdom we know, the more we may earn ”
If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pay the best interest
- Benjamin Franklin
To earn more, you need to increase the ability to earn more. A very simple concept but why can’t most people earn more? My thought on this is that most people do not earn more, because they are not aware of what they are really capable of doing and earning because of their past conditioned paradigms.
They earned a yearly income amount, say $ 50,000 and that’s all they know. They never question themselves, how do I turn my yearly income to a monthly income because they are not aware of their ability to do so.
So how do you increase your ability to earn? You must change your beliefs and paradigms and continually work on yourself. You must work on you and educate yourself. You keep learning and growing you. You must continually learn and grow yourself. Invest energy, time and money in growing yourself. Read books, attend seminars, listen to Audio Cds, DVDs, learn new skills, model rich and successful people. Associate with successful people.
One thing I know, is that You can never learn less. Find people whom have done what you want and model them. Becoming the best you that you can be.
Over the years, Belinda and I have sought out mentors who gave us sound advice and taught us the most effective strategies. We have attended many life changing seminars and workshops conducted by many well-known motivational speakers, leading experts and authors : including Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor, Robert Allen, Robert Kiyosaki, Blair Singer, and his Rich Dad Advisors, Keith Cunningham, Tony Robbins, T.Harv Eker, Gerry Roberts, K.C. See, Patric Chan, and many others.
3 powerful questions you must ask yourself. Who am I around with? What are they doing to me? Is that okay? If they are okay and teaching you to grow yourself, and adding energy to you by their mere presence because of their positive vibrations, then you want to spend more time with them.
If they are not adding value and draining energy from you, then you want to distance yourself from them.
People including friends, relatives who are not helping you to grow in your pursuit of your success and aspirations, and pulling you down, you will need to distance or disassociate yourself from them.
We have learned valuable ideas and teachings that have made us achieve our financial freedom and successful lifestyles by associating with great mentors and experts in their fields. Ideas that are good you keep in your toolbox. But none of these matters if you don’t have the right mindset which is the most important part of success.
Supposing you come across an incredible opportunity that may skyrocket your income and wealth, but such opportunities are of no use if you don’t know how to take advantage of them.
You keep gaining knowledge and collecting ideas, and over time you have many ideas and resources to call upon whenever you have opportunities coming your way, or create new projects or business that you want to pursue.
There is a saying which I like from the late Jim Rohn …. “ Work hard on your job you earn a living, but work hard on yourself you create your fortune”.
“Work hard on your job, you get paid for your time, work hard on yourself, you get paid for your Value”.
That is the reason why I have always work harder on myself and why I am sharing this knowledge with you. Self-development education pays the best returns. If you think education and knowledge is expensive, then try ignorance.
With the internet, you really can get free quality knowledge and learning from free ebooks, audio books, videos on You-Tube, free webinars conducted by the various speakers, authors and experts. So there is no reason why you cannot educate and grow yourself.
In my next post, I will share the idea of Multiple Sources or Streams of Income ( MSIs) , a concept made popular by Robert Allen in this book ‘” Multiple Streams of Income” as a way to increase your ability to earn … as a cure for a lean purse.
I hope you enjoy the sharing
